In 1989, Bercham church bought a piece of land which costs RM28,996. Such a purchase would appear to be beyond a family service group that had not even set up a prayer house, whose monthly offering less than RM100. But thank God for His ceaseless group and great love moved the brethren deeply, they offered willingly towards the building fund as they grew from a family service to a prayer house. within 5 years, reasonable sum of money managed to be raised together with loans of RM25,000 from Ipoh church and RM5,000 from Sungai Siput church, the piece of land managed to be purchased. Thanks the Lord 2 years after purchase the land,the day which God had appointed finally came. Shortly after successfully registering the church with the government, we started to make preparations for the construction of the church building. Later, The Church buliding design which consolidated the "beauty" of the various detached house. After the blueprint was approved by the town council, tenders from 5 different companies had obtained. By the arrangement of God, The tenders were awarded to 3 brothers from Sugai Siput Church. The cost of construction excluding piling, wiring and renovating cost up to RM121,000.
The construction commenced on the 17th of November 1992. The building was completed within 7 months. During the period of construction, A lot of problems were encountered especially the shortage of funds. Thanks the Lord that planned the GA of Malaysia and Singapore agreeed to make a loan of RM70,000 to the church's building fund. Through the support of the brethren, ministers and preachers of various churches who sent offerings out of love, and with local members offering to the best of their ability, the problem of shortage out of funds was solved.
Approximately a month after the church building was completed, Elder john Yang of IA and Elder Thomas Chair of GA Malaysia and Singapore came for a visit. It was then that the members expressed their wish to purchase the piece of land next to the church for future development. With agreement from both these ministers, Bercham church boldly decided to obtain another loan from the GA of Malaysia and Singapore for the purchase of the land. Thank the Lord, the owner finally sold the land to the church at cost of RM37,382.
