 Introduction

In 1973, church member, Bro. Chang Min and his wife, Dns. Sarah Woo, shifted from Rompin to a village near Bahau. A prayer house was established in their house. Later, 2 mentally ill youths, Ch'ng Yin Chiew and Lo Thye Fah, were healed by the Lord. Their healing moved many to believe in the Lord. Lo Thye Fah's parents and sister were the first to be moved to believe and receive baptism. Ch'ng Yin Chiew and his mother also believed and were baptised. Later, Lo Thye Fah's neighbour, Chang Yew Kuang, his mother and sister were moved and received baptism too. Thank the Lord for His grace, number of believers grew gradually. In 1978, a new church building was purchased and dedicated to the Lord on 10 February 1979. At that time, pastoring work was led by ministers from Kajang Church, Pudu Church and preachers sent by GA. After the church was established, Dn. Tee and his family were chosen by God through signs and miracles. Dn. Tee's parents were devout Buddists and his father was a trustee of a chinese temple in Kuala Pilah and very familiar with "Buddist scriptures". However, through the great love of God, he was chosen to believe at the age of 84.

With the great love and guidance of the Lord Jesus Christ, Bro. Ng Yoon Peng also believed and was baptisted into the Lord. The grace of God was ever present and the number of members increased. From 1973-1995, Bahau Church had had a membership of about 100 members. However, as Bahau is a small town and has few work opportunities, many members have went for work or study. Now, there are only 40 members remaining in Bahau Church.
